Nike ‘The Last Game’ not only targets football fanatics – through its imaginative script and stunning visuals, it attracts lovers of animation and seekers of good stories. From the footy-mad favelas of Rio to the Temple of Football itself, our concept art and 3D work kicked off this campaign, culminating in a video viewed 167 million times on YouTube.
This advert marked the first time we provided full art department services for an animation project, and thus presented an opportunity to showcase our range of skills. We began with layout sketches and thumbnails, before visualising the different sets our footballers relocate to: the fishing harbor, the calm windmill desert, the quirky hairdresser and the festive stadium where our heroes beat the perfect clones.
